A guest onboard Disney Dream saw a person floating in the water. The ship turned and rescued the 29 year old Cuban male.
In a separate incident, Disney Dream crew spotted a craft at sea. The ship deployed the Port Side Rescue Boat bringing onboard 12 Cuban nationals.

Vessel Name: Seabourn Quest
Bridge Officers on the Seabourn Quest spotted an unidentified boat with a number of people waiving. The ship managed to get them alongside the tender platform port side. 23 males and 11 females were rescued.

Vessel Name: Liberty of the Seas
Liberty of the Seas rescued 17 refugees from Cuba who had been at sea for 17 days. At the time weather conditions were 4 metre seas with 34 – 40 knot winds.

Vessel Name: Marella Discovery 2
On the passage from Havana, Cuba to Georgetown, the vessel spotted a craft in distress. 14 people were rescued and taken onboard following 16 days at sea.

Vessel Name: Carnival Spirit
While en route from Grand Turk to Aruba, Carnival Spirit was involved in the rescue of 24 people, 21 of whom were from the Dominican Republic.
