BMA team attends Greek Shipping Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner
Representatives from The BMA Greek team, along with Managing Director and CEO Capt. Dwain Hutchinson, were pleased to attend this year’s Greek Shipping Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner on Tuesday 5th July at Megaron, The Athens Concert Hall, where dynamic Greek shipping industry individuals were recognised.

It was also a huge honour to host a reception at the Yacht Club for our many friends in the industry and it was a great pleasure to be able to meet so many people face-to-face after the years of lockdown.

BMA’s Geoffrey Guy and Alessandro Lo Piccolo raise money for the Mission to Seafarers Global Champions Unite Campaign
The BMA is proud to report that Geoffrey Guy and Alessandro Lo Piccolo took part for the second year running in the annual 100 KM ride organised by the IMO to raise money for the Mission to Seafarers Global Champions Unite campaign on June 25th. It is a very tough ride but they were up to the challenge!

Meeting at the International Labour Organisation leads to amendments to the MLC
The Bahamas Maritime Authority Seafarers & Manning Department attended the International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) fourth meeting of the Special Tripartite Committee 340th Session. The team attended the meeting, consisting of shipowners, seafarers and member states, as part of its responsibilities with the (MLC) Maritime Labour Convention (2006).
